Welcome to Tampa Bay Faith, a news and community site dedicated to serving the Tampa Bay Christian community.

You may know me as the religion columnist for the Tampa Bay Times, a role I was blessed to fulfill for nearly seven years.

In December 2019, due to budget cuts, the Times decided to phase out my religion column.

Of course, this was hard news to learn. The ability to share my Christian beliefs and the stories of local religious leaders, organizations and individuals on a mainstream media platform was truly a gift. Whether I was interviewing Toby Mac or a start-up church pastor, I knew it was a story worth telling.

Writing my last column, I thought of all the contacts I’d made in the area and those who relied on me to advance events or tell their stories of hope. I prayed for direction and asked God what to do next. The answer came in these silent words “Keep doing what you do, but do it bigger.”

I created Tampa Bay Faith to provide the media coverage I’ve delivered for years and link Christians throughout the Bay area together.

Tampa Bay Faith will offer event listings updated daily, Christian news and feature stories, as well as narrative testimonies. 

So, I need you to keep sending those listings, story ideas and press releases.
